Description

An extremely tough and reliable variety. This floribunda variety produces an abundance of globular clear pink blooms on long straight stems. Dark green and glossy foliage. Can be used as a hedging variety and is also good for cutting. Extremely hardy. Good disease resistance. Climber will grow to 300cm in height. It was specially bred – the very first Grandiflora – in 1954 by the rose breeder Walter Lammerts, to mark the Queen’s Coronation in 1953 and it was a success. Lammerts was an American geneticist and rose breeder n the West coast of the US. It is still around after 50 years of world-wide popularity. With its regal blooms held upright the Grandiflora bush looks Royal. This rose was inducted into the Rose Hall of Fame in 1979. This makes it reliable, hardy and disease resistant.
